The Jellybean Garden

The Jelly Bean Garden, located at 2125 W. Adams, is a community garden planned by residents to make a colorful and beautiful impact on the neighborhood. The garden began in the summer of 2009 as an empty lot strewn with garbage and filled with weeds.  Since then the space has seen much progress due to Sunday sessions of weeding, tiling the soil, clean up and maintenance. Thanks to the generosity of community partners like Greencorps, Neighborspace and Lake Street Supply Co., the garden has real potential to succeed.

We are proud to announce that the Jelly Bean Garden was recently awarded grants from Neighborspace and Greencorps, who will help install the garden as well as share resources with our gardeners.  Please join us to make this garden a bright and cheerful space in our neighborhood!
